Spring has Sprung...Tips on how to be HAPPY despite rainy days!

Spring is in the air, and that sometimes means rainy days ahead. Those soggy days do NOT need to dampen your JOY! Below are a few tips to help elevate your mood when the weather is less than favorable this season:
1. Light Therapy - Yes, this is a REAL thing! SAD Lamps are an at home option to brighten your mood and give you some energy. Just 10-15 minutes of use in the morning can impact your serotonin production and give you a boost to combat the gloom outside.
2. Self-Care - Take rainy days as a chance to pamper yourself! If a relaxing bath, meditation, or an at-home facial make you feel good, do it! If rest is what your body is missing, take this day to re-charge and rest up. Make yourself the PRIORITY!
3. Socialize - Get together with family and friends! A small gathering to share a meal or host a game night, could be just the boost you need to uplift your soul on a dreary day. Social connections can positively impact your mood!
4. Comic Relief - You guessed it...LAUGHTER is the best medicine! TV's are a great source of entertainment, but skip the drama during soggy days and opt for a comedy or standup to lift your spirits. You'll be glad you did!
5. Body in Motion - Exercise is your body's antidepressant! Not only does it help your body physically, it can ease depression and anxiety, especially on a rainy day. During exercise, your body releases endorphins which improve your well-being and it keeps your mind on something beneficial instead of the dismal RAIN!
